Broca's Area
Broca's area is a region located in the left frontal lobe of the brain, typically in the left hemisphere. It is named after the French physician Paul Broca, who played a crucial role in early research on its functions. Broca's area is primarily associated with language production and speech formation. Damage to this area can result in a condition known as Broca's aphasia, characterized by difficulties in forming grammatically correct sentences and expressing language fluently, despite comprehension remaining intact.
