Autonomic Nervous System

The autonomic nervous system is crucial for maintaining balance in internal processes, known as homeostasis. It regulates things like body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure. This system only has motor pathways and is divided into two parts: 1) the sympathetic nervous system, which can speed things up, and 2) the parasympathetic nervous system, which can slow things down.
