Matt Hancock's girlfriend Gina greets I'm a Celebrity star on bridge after leaving
Matt Hancock made it to the final of I'm a Celebrity, but he didn't win the title of King of the Jungle. Having his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo on the bridge helped him feel better about it, though.
When fans heard that former Health Secretary Matt Hancock would be in this year's show, they were shocked. He and comedian Seann Walsh were late to the camp, and they were chosen to do a lot of the Bushtucker Trials. Matt did make it to the top three on this year's show, even though fans had mixed feelings about him.
When Matt went into the jungle for the first time, people at home and in the camp had a lot to say about his time as Health Secretary during the coronavirus pandemic.
But once Matt got used to camp life, he got into the Bushtucker Trials and made friends with the other people in the show.
Many people were surprised, though, when former rugby player Mike Tindall came in fourth place last night.
After he left the camp and talked with Ant and Dec, he was ready to walk on the famous bridge. Dec told Matt, "Gina is waiting for you," and true to her word, his former assistant, who is now his girlfriend, Gina Coladangelo, hugged him.
Matt can be heard telling Gina, "I love you so much," before they pose for the cameras. When fans saw the couple together, they were not afraid to say what they thought.
Last year, Matt had to quit as Health Secretary after pictures of him kissing Gina, with whom he was having an affair, were caught on CCTV.
Not only had he been married to Martha Hancock for 15 years, but he had also set the rules for keeping people away from each other during the pandemic, which he broke by getting close to Gina in this way.
But Gina's appearance on I'm a Celebrity shows that she and Matt are still very much together, despite the controversy.
