I am a spreadsheet person. I like to have things planned out and organized. This includes my daily schedule, monthly budget, and even my grocery list. On the other hand, my partner is someone with no plans or ideas. They don't like to plan anything out and prefer to just go with the flow. He wants to be free to come and go as he pleases without having to worry about schedules or deadlines.
At first, I thought this was just a phase he was going through. Maybe he was going through a mid-life crisis or something. But after a few years of living like this, I started to feel frustrated. I felt like I was married to someone who had no ambition or drive.
At first, I thought this was just a difference in personality. But over time, I started to feel like I was stuck in a relationship with someone who had no ambition or drive. It was difficult to deal with someone like this, but I knew that there had to be a way to help my partner find their purpose in life.
One way to help your spouse find their purpose in life is to encourage them to pursue their interests. If they have a hobby that they are passionate about, encourage them to pursue it further. Help them look for opportunities to turn their hobby into a career. If they don't have any hobbies or interests, encourage them to explore different activities and see what they enjoy.
If your partner is anything like mine then you know this is not simple. He loves fishing but to actually get him to go fishing is a production. To get him to even leave the house and meet up with his fishing friends is even harder. I have had to be very creative in my encouragement.
I started by looking for fishing clubs or meetups that he could join. This way, he would be around people who shared his interest and he might be more likely to go fishing more often. I also encouraged him to start a blog or vlog about fishing. He could share his fishing stories and tips with other people who were interested in the sport.
It took some time, but eventually my partner started to show more interest in fishing. He started going on fishing trips more often and even started his own blog about it. I was glad that I had encouraged him to pursue his interests because it gave him a sense of purpose and direction.
Another way to help your spouse find their purpose in life is to encourage them to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community and make a difference in someone else's life. It can also help your spouse feel more fulfilled and purposeful. Help them find a volunteer opportunity that is in line with their interests and skills. My partner is a builder so I signed him up to help build homes for a local church where they were short on volunteers.
It's been a few months since my partner started volunteering and I can already see a difference in him. He is more motivated and engaged in life. He feels good about himself because he knows that he is making a difference in the lives of others. I am so glad that we decided to volunteer together because it has brought us closer as a couple and helped my partner find his purpose in life.
In summary, if you are married to someone with no plans or ideas, it can be frustrating. But there are ways to help your spouse find their purpose in life. Encourage them to pursue their interests and volunteer. With time and patience, you will see a change in your partner for the better. Stay tuned for more tips!
