Anger Management
Anger management programs, like the National Anger Management Package (NAMP), are designed to teach people how to control their anger. In prisons, these programs assume that many crimes happen because of anger, and by helping prisoners manage their anger, they can avoid committing crimes in the future. The NAMP, for instance, aims to make prisoners aware of what causes their anger and teaches them control techniques through activities like group work, role-play, and keeping an anger diary.
